WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Vice President of Business and Corporate Development is responsible for driving sales, M&A and corporate strategy in every potential market with an emphasis on renewable power and energy storage.

This individual is responsible for building strategic business relationships and providing a vision for all client engagement strategies and their execution. The candidate will reach their goals through active management and one on one meetings with customers. This individual will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers by providing high-level customer service while maintaining the culture of the company. This candidate will help us identify, qualify and close merger and acquisition opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Account Management. Build, listen and maintain strong relationships and grow business with existing and strategic clients, while continually prospecting and selling to new potential clients
  • Drive profitability through revenue growth, expense control, and margin management.
  • Communicate. Collaborate with corporate leadership and team on best practices, customer wins, new opportunities, and competitive developments.
  • Staff development share your experience and insight with junior staff and provides mentorship.
  • M&A support. Help the company identify and qualify high-quality acquisitions.
  • Pitch in with consulting hours to ensure the alignment of our company with the client’s needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical or engineering background, with experience in renewable power and energy storage.
  • Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, account development, and business planning.
  • Professional demeanour, selling style and appearance.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including robust negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and customers.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Reliable problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport.

Jr. Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

Phoventus is currently seeking a Jr. Engineer to join our Burlington, ON team.  The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in applied science or engineering, have 1-2 years experience, be comfortable working independently and with others in a consulting-based business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of a project
  • Prepare proposals
  • Attend client meetings
  • Conduct site visits, including travel

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical expertise related to power generation, transmission & distribution, energy storage and renewable power
  • Familiar with relevant codes, standards, calculations and studies
  • Self-motivated, focused on results, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
  • Outstanding Verbal communication
  • Above average technical writing
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle timelines and conflicting priorities
