Vulcan Solar – Alberta Canada

The Vulcan Solar Project is a proposed 15 MWdc solar PV installation 5 km from the town of Vulcan, in Alberta, Canada. Phoventus was responsible to produce a preliminary layout for the facility, as well as annual energy production (AEP) estimates, including P50 and P90 estimates. in addition, Phoventus performed a glint and glare assessment for the proposed solar layout. The assessment considered two regional airports (amounting to two Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs) and ten unique flight paths), three regional roads, a local highway, a railway, as well as five observational points for select nearby buildings. This study was in compliance with FAA Policy V78 P63276.
